Laser Pointer Privacy Policy
Website access, local settings, drawings, and store distribution across Safari, Edge, Chrome, and Firefox.
Updated October 20, 2026
Laser Pointer has no advertising, analytics, user accounts, or developer-operated data servers. It does not send webpage content, browsing activity, or drawing activity to the developer or any third party.
Website access is requested only when you choose to use the laser on a webpage. In Safari (macOS and iPadOS), Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox, the extension places a local drawing layer over the active page and reads page dimensions, scroll position, and pointer, touch, or Apple Pencil events solely to keep marks aligned. It does not read, record, or transmit page text, passwords, cookies, or form entries.
Settings (colour, thickness, smoothing, and visibility duration) and the floating gear position are stored locally on your device. Whether the laser is on or paused is kept per tab for the current browser session. Drawn strokes stay only in page memory until they fade, the page changes, or the laser is turned off. The extension does not sync settings or marks across devices.
Laser Pointer is distributed as a free browser extension on Microsoft Edge Add-ons, the Chrome Web Store, and Mozilla Firefox Add-ons, and as a one-time US$0.99 universal purchase (macOS and iPadOS) on the Apple App Store. For the App Store version, Apple processes the purchase, your App Store account, and payment information under Apple’s privacy terms. The app does not collect payment details, track trials or review prompts, or send purchase records to the developer. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions on any platform.
You can review or revoke website access at any time in your browser’s extension settings (Safari → Settings → Websites → Extensions on Mac, Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions on iPad, edge://extensions in Microsoft Edge, chrome://extensions in Google Chrome, or about:addons in Mozilla Firefox). No personal data is stored on developer-operated servers.
